Our story

LUMIPODD began with a simple question: what kind of space helps a child feel safe enough to learn?

For our team, this is not just a professional challenge. It was personal. With children who are autistic and have ADHD, having been homeschooled for several years because the school environment, despite best intentions, could not meet their needs.

With an extensive background in modular construction and design innovation, we saw the opportunity to do something practical. Working with schools, therapeutic providers and educational leaders, we began adapting our modular system specifically for SEND. 
The result is LUMIPODD: Agile, affordable, reconfigurable learning spaces that support inclusion while reducing the time-lag, disruption and overheads of traditional capital builds.
Our goal is simple: To give more children more access to learning environments where they can thrive.

Our process

  1. Discovery and Consultation
    We assess your site, needs and funding options (see our GRANTS page for more info about how we help you access free money). All work is aligned with your SEND strategy and delivery priorities.
  2. Tailored Design
    We create bespoke modular solutions mapped to BB104 standards and SEND Code of Practice requirements.
  3. Rapid Installation
    LUMIPODDs are installed with minimal disruption, no major groundworks and no hidden costs.
  4. Reconfigurable Adaptation
    As needs evolve, your LUMIPODD can evolve too. Our construction design means you can easily reconfigure, extend or redeploy your SEND space for another purpose. Start as a classroom; end as 4 small learning Podds.
  5. Ongoing Support
    From grant assistance to iterative reconfiguration, our team supports you as an active partner.

Our technology

LUMIPODD spaces are manufactured off-site using a precision-engineered modular construction solution designed for flexibility, customisation and rapid deployment.

Podds can be delivered with elements pre-fabricated, lifted into place, and installed in a matter of days, with minimal disruption to teaching or site operations.

The LUMIPODD system allows:

• Scalable, component-based construction
• Pre-approved internal layouts matched to SEND needs
• Adaptable Podd footprints that support phased rollout or future reconfiguration.

All units comply with Building Regulations, fire safety codes, and BB104 guidance for SEND spaces.
